Father: Thomas Eiyle
Mother: Elayne Eiyle
Siblings: Samantha Eiyle, Gina Eiyle
Other: Tirona Lee - On and Off boyfriend for the last 15 years
but you're not letting it go....
Likes: Studying, Science, Teaching, Peace, Quiet
Dislikes: Loud noises, "irritants", being asked the same question repeatedly, interruptions, people that hit on her, people that comment on her body, people that touch her without permission
Strengths: Computer Whiz, good with fixing things, reads quickly, very skilled with her powers, analyzing situations.
Weaknesses: Has tendencies to over-analyze a situation and not trust gut instincts most of the time, tendency to seem very standoffish due to her cold self, but isn't really, is very methodical about what she does, meaning she won't usually jump into a situation aside from certain emergencies.
Mutant Power (if applicable): Not mutant powers, but they're powers so they're listed here:
The Diamond: The Diamond is probably Deena's most potent artifact. It releases all safety limits she places on her abilities. Using it she can use all of her power at once, or just seriously increase her power level. Only used in emergencies.
The Tarot: tironalee.deviantart.com/art/Deena-s-Tarot-Complete-207452067
The Rapier: A Rapier that hangs at Deena's hip. She seldom uses it as an actual weapon, but it allows her to focus and use pure magic as a weapon. Channeling it through the Rapier allows her to fire it with sniper-like accuracy, otherwise it would be more equatable to a laser burst or shotgun. Can also be used to form weak barriers.
"Natural": Deena can sense the flows of magic in the world around her and manipulate them. This is natural, and becomes incantations and spells. She has also absorbed some of the Rapier's power into her body, allowing her to use weaker versions of its powers when separated from it.
Power Limits:
The Diamond: The Diamond is Deena's most dangerous artifact. With the release of the limits of her powers, Deena power will overrun her body and has the potential to kill her, or if she uses to much of it she will be completely drained and unconscious (at best) for a short time. Using to much of this can also cause her to tap into her own life force for power, drastically shortening her life. She has not had to do this, but knows the danger of this is there.
The Tarot: The Tarot are the most fickle of Deena's abilities. No cards can be used without the Fool, and their abilities are drastically weakened if even a single one of the other cards are missing. Also, anyone can use these and it took Deena several years to fully learn how to use their abilities efficiently. An inexperienced user with the cards cannot use them regularly, and the deck itself will decide what card fits the situation. Deena is skilled enough that she can call upon any power she chooses.
Rapier: Deena must have the Rapier on her person to use it's power for any level of strength. Being away from it and using it's power being equivalent to using a slingshot as opposed to a shotgun.
"Natural": These take the form of spells, which require incantations or rituals to perform, both of which are time consuming and not very effective in battle situations.
Personality: Deena is a highly intellectual person, and has that sort of way of looking at things. Because of this, she has a tendency to seem aloof. She doesn't particularly care what people think of her, so she lets this stick, but she can easily be warm and protective, although she doesn't show the warm part in the usual way. Straight through high school and most of college she was completely embarrassed by her body, so she hid it under bulky sweaters and things like this. She doesn't care to much about her looks anymore, but she knows she wouldn't be taken as seriously, so she still hides her form, and only people who pay very close attention can notice it. And she's usually not that happy if she catches someone trying, staring, or touching.
She's quite good with her hands, and can usually fix most things and enjoys doing it for the puzzle of figuring out what's wrong. It might take her a little while, but she enjoys doing it and does it well. She's also good with computers, and is a proficient hacker. She's only as good with both of these as a normal human can be, and doesn't have a superhuman ability with either of these things, more just very practiced skills. She dislikes being asked the same questions repeatedly, and will grow increasingly annoyed if someone asks the same question one after another. She is a very serious person, and is seldom seen with a smile (and some say that a smile usually precedes something terrible happening), and no one has ever really seen her so much as chuckle.
She has a mild obsession with keeping herself clean, using magic to keep her clothes very white, which she wears to match her hair and it shows stains/dirtiness easier. She also habit of pushing up her glasses with her middle finger when she is irritated or bored.
can't you see we are the same?
Eyes: Green, but very milky/cloudy like blindness, but not blind. Wears Pince-Nez glasses.
Hair: Cropped short and white.
Physique: Deena has a 'full figure' to put it nicely. She dislikes this and hides it as well as humanly possible, everything short of getting reduction surgery (which she has considered on more than one occasion). Her usual outfit is a blank white shirt, with the Diamond hanging from her neck, and a pair of white leggings to go with it. She is almost eternally seen wearing a white trench coat, with a lot of pockets, that drags along the ground just slightly so. She is a somewhat pale person, obtained from spending long hours in windowless rooms reading and studying.
She is not exactly what you would call 'toned', but she isn't the weakest person in the world. She has a little bit of muscle hiding under her clothes, but not a ton of it. She is very methodical about her appearance, and will just about go out of her way to make sure she looks about the same daily. She will change it up from time to time when she feels like relaxing or 'being someone else' for a day, but usually she won't.

this war we're fighting is undecided...
History: Deena was born and raised in a small town known as Everwood. Everwood was built on a nexus of four magical lei lines hundreds of years ago. Deena grew up with magical power, but she did not realize this until she stumbled across a deck of mystic tarot cards, using them to unleash her full power. Using her powers and intelligence she taught herself to control the cards and her own emerging powers.
She has always been the 'smart girl' and when puberty came around, she chose to hide her body rather than become one of the brainless barbie dolls that passed for cheerleaders. She met Tirona Lee in high school, and slowly the two began a relationship, and the two have had an on again off again relationship ever since. Never really calling it officially on or off, the relationship mostly only ever put on hold when one (or both) of them traveled or got lost in study and they seldom saw each other.
The lei lines that intersected beneath the town attracted a number of powerful entities to Everwood, not all of them exactly good. "The Nexus," as the intersecting point was called, was located under the city's abandoned library. The library itself was essentially a magical fortress, its basement anyway, to keep anything from entering that wasn't supposed to. Deena found the three gems of "the Soul" (one of the town's founders), taking the diamond to augment her own abilities, inside the fortress. Using her magical talents, she used the nexus itself to fuel a five layer barrier that could withstand the magical equivalent of an atomic blast.
After leaving Everwood, she traveled to Europe, once more learning to control the flows of power that came with the Diamond. She also started studying more of the sciences; particularly physics, biology, and chemistry. She came across the Rapier in a market in Romania, and she purchased it after feeling some power coming from the object. She took some time, and continued to study it as well. She has just recently returned to the US during the aftermath of 'M Day', never having personally had anything against mutants, seeing as she herself was essentially a witch.
She is currently staying in a storage center where she keeps most of her scientific equipment. This is a temporary situation while she attempts to find a job that she deems worthy of her significant qualifications. She has degrees from several universities which she attended before traveling to Europe, having her masters. She is currently trying to decide if she would like to return to a school to obtain a doctorate in one of her fields of study.

it's time to make a choice
Role-play Example: Deena walked through the doors of the classroom briskly, watching them fly open as she walked towards them, and hearing them slam shut behind her. Slightly show-offy, not usually her style, but she thought it would be interesting to get the attention of her students the moment she walked in. And, unlike some people, she preferred not to use sexuality to keep her students attention. Which is why she dressed the way she did, hiding her body as best she could.
She had spent the night before in the forest, and had come to school today with the idea that her office and room would be ready. She found that the former was true, but the later was not. She had taken a quick shower and gotten dressed, walking down to the class she would be teaching first. She had decided on an Alchemy course for the beginning... mostly because that was the only class on the roster could be considered 'advanced magic' in her opinion. She pushed back her glasses with her middle finger before writing a long equation on one half of the bored with nothing but her finger, magic flowing through her fingers and creating the marks, and covering the second half with a number of runes.
She spun around, slamming a heavy book on the table, the cover of which was written in some ancient language. Roughly translated, it meant 'Nature of Alchemy'. "I am your new headmistress, Deena Eiyle. Call me Professor or Headmistress Eiyle. Do not call me by my first name." She gave the room a piercing glare that seemed to beg them to contradict what she said. "Welcome to Advanced Physics and Magical Theory. Most of you are probably not up to the level I would expect from students in this class, so I'm going to cover some advanced alchemy that you would see fairly often in this class."
She had looked over some notes, and knew how far the alchemy students had gotten. She knew that the runes were probably vaguely familiar to the ones that had actually read their books, but the equation would probably stump all but the brightest of them. "On this half of the board," she said, gesturing to the half with the runes, "You will see several advanced alchemic runes. If you've read into the later chapters of your alchemy books, they might look slightly familiar. These are known as the nature circles."
She waited a moment for what she'd said to sink in before she would continue. "If any of you have any questions at any point, simply raise your hand and I shall answer you. Any questions asked without a hand will be ignored." She had taught at all five of the major magic schools if today's little class was included. "Using them, the ancient druids of the past, the ones without major powers themselves at any rate, believed that these runes would give them the power to control the natural world around them. While many of them were incorrect, the symbols behind me are the most accurate."
She waited again before turning around and facing the board once more. "Can any of you tell me why nature alchemy is one of the most dangerous forms of the art?" she asked. Nature alchemy was the mystic science of controlling nature itself. Without a natural ability to do so, which was quite dangerous. You were attempting to control mother nature against her will. And if she sensed even the slightest sign of weakness, she would strike back and quickly kill, or at least injure, the one attempting to take advantage of her power.
