M-Day

This site is three months after M-Day, therefore the majority of the mutant population has decreased drastically. While some revelled in this new-found discovery a blessing, and used it to their full advantage. others despaired over the loss of their powers. Xavier Institute seemed to be hit the hardest, since the student body dwindled to just twenty-seven students left. The squad system was abandoned, and the remaining students - with the exception of a few - had to fight in an all-out brawl to see who would be in the newest team of X-Men.

Meanwhile, mutants who were depowered but still retained some of their physical mutations were left to wander why they were like this. However, three months in and seems as if the affects of M-Day were temporary, at least for some mutants, for they got their powers back mysteriously. Dead mutants just appear in a white light that fades. No one knows why this is happening but when the answer comes, they'll be shocked to the core.
