I choose my friends for their good looks,
my acquaintances for their good characters,
and my enemies for their intellects.

Mutant Power (if applicable):
Matter Manipulation:
Allanah is capable of consciously manipulating inorganic and organic matter at the molecular, atomic, or sub-atomic scale. This power extends to literally anything that has an atom. Now she can't create something out of nothing, and the law of conservation of energy still applies.
Psychich Manipulation/Latent Telepathy: On a very base level you want to like Allanah. You don't want to sleep with her (unless your already attracted to her) but you want to like her, be her friend, and get close to her. While physically in her presence all but the most strong willed of individuals are prone to just, liking Allanah for no reason. This is the outward expression of the Duncan family lines latent telepathic/psychic abilities that were once labeled "Old magic", but the Irish of times past . A subtle field surround the young woman that pushes the right buttons in most’s brains that make them want to protect, care for, and be friendly to the girl. It is neither controllable on her part, or very noticeable on others. A very strong feeling of love, or hate, can negate the power entirely. Along with this comes an uncontrollable semi-permanent psychic link to those Allanah cares for the most, allowing for mental conversation with others along with mild empathy. At one point she shared this sort of psychic link to her fraternal twin Brother Liam, but the connection was permanently severed upon his death (most notably attributed at this time to "Twin Telepathy"), his death caused a psychic wound that is still highly visible and lurid to any who can see such things. She has not formed another attachment since, although in the future it could manifest in other without her conscious thought. (i.e at the discretion of an admin and the other player)
Power Limits:While incredibly useful in the long run Allanah finds it difficult to find a practical application for battle. Sure you could drop a bridge on a bad guy by making the support beams into dirt but that takes time, and in a real fight by herself its not going to be much use. Her manipulations are also very specifically limited to things other than herself, not because she cant change her own body but because she wont risk it, the attempts her father made to alter his own structure led to his eventual madness and death, and she dares not to risk the same thing happening to her. She struggles to focus and bring her “working time” down, but the going is slow as she still has leaps and bounds to grow.
Allanah's Telepathy is so minute as to not even be worthy of the name. She can neither read minds, control people, project her will consciously upon others. It is completely limited in its scope and power to small radius's and can be negated simply by being aware of it (which she is not at this moment).
Personality:
Allanah is what someone might call a runner not a fighter, and she always has been. When the fight or flight response kicks in, nine times out of ten she hit flight, fleeing emotionally or physically form the problems that plague her, or at least she was for the vast majority of her life. In more recent times her personality seems to have suffered a massive blow, changing most of what once defined her.
While the witty, sarcastic, woman remains the most central theme of her character, she now is far more somber and withdrawn than in times past. Most on Bermuda attribute this to the loss of a loved one, maybe a traumatic attack, or any number of other rumors. Though she is still likely to play pranks and sidestep confrontation the once fearful young woman now seems to have a hero complex buried under deep layers of denial, instead of running away she throws herself into danger for other, and makes excuse after excuse why it benefits her and not the other person.
She dislikes the spotlight, seeking quiet refuge from those who hound her socially, and she seems to have little interest beyond flirtation with men, an stalwart marble prison surrounding her heart and caging it form anyone new.

Physique: Some people would call Allanah statuesque and in the image of a Celtic goddess of the hunt. Allanah just calls herself tall and gangly, standing around the height of five ten and weighing one-hundred and thirty pounds, mostly muscle.

History:
Allanah MacNair was born in Scotland, well more importantly she was born on a boat off the coast of Scotland to an Irish Mother and an American father taking a boat tour on what was supposed to be a last couples trip before the two's children were born. It came to everyone involved surprise when Allanah and her twin brother Liam suddenly made their first appearance to the world squalling and already a pain in their parents side.
Liam and Allanah showed their true stripes at an early age, almost as soon as the two could walk Liam was taking his younger sister out on daring "adventures" that usually consisted of playing pranks or exploring the byways and hidden spots of the small Irish town the family called home. Liam was the brave one his sister was the smart one, and it showed as Allanah usually took a back seat to her brother preferring to let him lead the way into whatever madcap escapade he had planned. They shared an amiable childhood, growing up wild and free in the Irish foothills. Their mother obviously loved them, and although they both had fond memories of their fathers love the older man seemed to become more withdraw and angry in general as they grew.
Meanwhile their mother, a woman of the "old ways" (unbeknownst actually a very low powered mutant) was trying to wrangle in their father. In a time before mutants were an outed section of society their father lived a life of mortified fear. He was a mutant, and knew their was something "wrong" with him. He shared the same talent that his daughter would one day poses, manipulation of pure matter on a scale Allanah has never heard of in her life since. He had met the twins mother years before their birth on a spiritual pilgrimage to Ireland, seeking some sort of explanation for his powers, and what to use them for. He met and fell in love with a young priestess of the Old Ways, and sought salvation through her.
It was not until years later that he learned, he was not gifted, he was simply a mutant. Where her father learned this fact Allanah has never known, but when he discovered this fact things in the small family began to change. Their father withdrew from the family, became ever more reclusive, and started having fits of anger, dementia, and paranoia. Eventually as the twins entered their early teen years and entered secondary school their father went from distant parent to abusive, lashing out at both his wife and his children in ways that only grew ever more brutal as time dragged onwards. Their mother did what she could, but Gwynhafar MacNair was never a strong woman, and eventually she simply gave up.
All of this came to head shortly after the twins eighteenth birthday. Allanah never speaks of what occured that night with anyone. The papers speak of a horrendous double murder/suicide with one survivor. All three family members lay dead on the ground, bodies mutated shells of once happy beings, and Allanah lay in a corner shaking, different than before, but yet the same.
It was not until after his death, and the murder of her mother and brother that Allanah learned the truth behind her fathers madness. He had been trying to change himself, become more like he though he should be, or maybe trying to rid himself of his mutation altogether. When her brother Liam had confronted him that night, and asked about his and his sisters burgeoning powers her father had snapped. In one roaring blast of power he attempted to rip the "power" (i.e mutation) from the whole of his family in one fell swoop. The attempt failed, leaving three of the four dead, and Allanah changed in ways she can't understand.
After the incident Allanah foreswore all mutants, all powers, all anything to do with what had killed her family and disappeared off the record books officially. Unofficially she relocated several times into Europe, and then the Caribbean, eventually opening a tiki bar in Bermuda where she lives and works to this day, making occasional trips stateside to get in touch with old friends, and scout out the mutants of America.

Role-play Example:
Ty Le paused one foot mid stride as a voice boomed out behind her. Her nose wrinkled a bit and she narrowed her eyes, the voice didn't sound like anyone she knew, and most people she did probably wouldn't have called her a traitor by any interpretation of the word, well maybe Azula but that voice certainly wasn't her. She settled her foot down and swiveled around, eyes snapping to the man who had managed to creep up several feet behind her hands on his weapons every body quivering with anger and intent to harm. She stared at him for a second breathing deeply eyes not moving, but her brain cataloging all the best leaping points nearby, all the little points on his body that his armor didn't cover.
"Your aura's awful! Its all red and blue!" She said cocking her head to the side, and setting a finger on the corner of her mouth as she looked at him. "Your in a bad state of mind huh? Whats wrong?" No need for him to think she was smart, let alone understood why she was here. She breathed deeply again centering herself carefully in the center chakra. He meant her harm, of some sort, and she needed to be ready to face it if he chose to come for her. She shifted subtly rocking her shoulders back, feeling the now familiar weight of the Kyoshi armor, and the subtle sway of her low loose braid. She'd not had to fight very much dressed like this, and it was best not to mess it up because she was uncomfortable in her own body.
"What 'cha want?" she asked a final time offering him a pretty smile and a flutter of her eyelashes.
