THE PLOT
Forget what you know
Mutant hate is at an all time high: Robert Kelly is president and the hope that humans and mutants can live together is all but extinguished. The world is utopian for humans, and hell for mutants. The President, The Shadow King, and the government plan on keeping things the way they are. Change, they believe, is a mistake.
The former X men have fled to the safe hold of Genosha, a magical safe haven hidden in the Poncho Mountains, creating a safe haven for the mutants that can find a way there. Mutants in the rest of the world are left fighting for their lives. The majority end up in detention camps, where they are dubbed the “walking dead” doing hard labor, and waiting out death with almost no hope for escape. A few who show strong abilities that the government believes they can use are plucked up from the camps for the newly regenerated Weapon X Program.
The mutants who don’t end up in the camps or at Genosha take to the sewers, the best hiding place. They are known as the Morlocks.
