Quick intellect: He has quick intellect which allows him to think faster and process information that goes to his brain much faster. Allowing him to catch things that are normally too quick for the human eye can see, also it helps him take in the area around him while he is going at the top supersonic speeds.
Strength: He can press between 800 lbs to 1 ton with his lower body and his lower body can lift up 800 lbs to 1000 lbs easily.

Reacts before he thinks: He will often react to thinks without fully thinking through first. He will go by what he thinks is the best idea without carefully thinking the problem through first, it has often left him to his downfall this way. Being that he might not see all the obstacles that are in the path.
Impatient: He is often impatient with his speed, expecting everyone or anyone to catch up with him even if he is going at a much slower rate than he is used too. He can't sit still for long without having to get up and go do something.
Durability: Despite Speed having durability, things such as energy blasts, bulllets, or other weapons can still harm him.

Super Sonic Speed: Tommy has the ability to travel as fast as the speed of sound. He has been shown to even out race Quicksilver's speed. He also has a similar enhanced physiology that is designed for his super human speed. Such as having a quick intellect, where he can take in things around him and allow his brain to process them much faster than a normal human. Also, his bones and body have adapted to the amount of running that he does, such as each time his feet hit the ground his bones and muscles are able to absorb the shock without being injured.
Molecular Destabilization: He can also generate hyper-kinetic vibrations that accelerate the molecules in matter. Causing any solid objects that he directs at to explode.
Intangibility: He can also use molecules in the air and use his molecular destabilization as a combination to walk through solid objects such as walls without getting hurt or stuck.
Superhuman Durability: He can withstand friction at intense impacts. Seeing how fast it runs it doesn't cause him any harm or cause him any problems.
Superhuman Strength: He possesses super human lower body strength, allowing him to easily press 800 pounds to 1 ton with his lower body.

Energy Reserves: Tommy also has energy reserves built up in his body. It is unknown how long he can go without stopping but being that he can't run a full day, it is guessed that he can run about 7 hours before he must stop and rest.
Molecular Destabilization: It has been shown that he can't fully control his molecular destabilization, it is a similar power to his uncle's, in which he vibrates molecules at a rather fast rate in order to cause destruction. If he looses control of this power he could easily make more damage than he had meant.
Superhuman Durability: Despite having this ability, he can still be harmed by sharp and powerful weapons such as bullets and powerful energy blasts.

Being that Tommy is still young, he often dives into things much more than he should, without thinking through them first and wait to see if there is an error. He is a good guy and fun to hang around with, if he sees that a friend is in need he will be willing to do anything that is needed to try and cheer them up. Such as if he’s willing to make a fool of himself or be silly, he will do that. However he does seem to possess the same kind of impatience that Quicksilver has gained from his powers, wanting people to speed up, or at least go his own rate instead of waiting for others to keep up, which makes him forget sometimes that he is not as slow as the others.
He also gained a similar fast talk, allowing him to talk faster than most humans could go. He is able to speak more and sometimes will not be able to be understood by others because of this. He seems to have a more trusting side than his uncle and will accept people once he gets to know you. However if you betray him in any way he will not look back at you.

Physique:[/size][/font] Tommy stands at 5'8" and weighs 155lbs. His eyes are green and his hair is a silvery messy white. His costume is green with mixtures of white on his sides and on his gloves. Lastly he wears orange goggles to protect his eyes while he running. He also has noticeable attributes from other family, he seems to resemble similar features from his uncle, Quicksilver and his twin Billy Kaplan.

William Maximoff and Thomas Maximoff were born of Scarlet Witch by Vision, but they were actual magical constructs created by Wanda's hex powers. It was revealed that she used slivers of Mephisto's life essence in order to give the children souls. Tommy and Billy were reabsorbed into Mephisto and ceased to exsit. It was several years later two young men appeared known as Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepard who were reincarnations of Billy and Thomas Maximoff.
Thomas "Tommy" Shepard was born and raised in Springfield New Jersey. He is the only son of Frank and Mary Shepard, who divorced when he was still young, Tommy often went back and forth inbetween the parents as he was growing up. For most of his young years he was put in juvenile halls and in one detention center, that Tommy was at he befriended a girl named Lisa.
On a different event when he was in high school, he accidently vaporized a good part of the school, putting him back in a high powered facility due to court law. He was put in a dapening containment cell for several months. He had been tested on and expriemented on in hopes of becoming a living weapon.
While Tommy had been in the detention center for months, several members of the institute had noticed a disappearance of a kree, skrull hybrid named Hulkling. They got help from Vision who is Scarlet Witch’s husband and Wiccan who was a close friend of the Hulkling. They located the Hulkling in one of the detention centers. However they realized that they had found the wrong person in the detention center, breaking out Tommy. Tommy had then decided to attack some of the doctors that were working there for revenge on how they had treated him. The others managed to stop him before he could kill anyone and Tommy calmed down. When he met face to face with Wiccan they noticed that there was a similarity in appearance between the two boys.
Tommy gladly joined the X-Men seeing that this was a chance to finally be free of the detention centers. While he was there, he took the role of a student in hopes of climbing through the ranks. And also he found his code name taking on a new one named Speed.

Since Pietro had started to settle down in the mansion and Tommy had been aware of this that his uncle had joined the X-men he was eager to see what he thought of having another family member on the team. As far as he knew, Pietro had no clue on who he was, but there were obvious signs to prove it that they were family, he just had to get his uncle to understand that. Pietro had been resting on his bed that night and seemed to be left alone. Speed had felt bad for his uncle being that he had left his family behind and some of the mutants here hadn’t fully accepted him in. Maybe he could try and cheer him up? There was a chance of it. As he got closer to his uncle’s door he sped into the room, so fast that his father hadn’t even had the chance to see him right away. Being that he hid in a part of the room where he had his blind spot, he resumed to looking out the window not having any notice that his room had suddenly been invaded.
So he decided it again to test his uncle’s ability to catch things, though this time Pietro hadn’t been as clueless as before. Pietro rushed forward using his own speed to knock Thomas to the ground with his strength. Both of them landing against the floor at what felt like a back breaking speeds, but neither of them seemed to be injured. PIetro had planned it that way; the worst that could have happened was that they would both get some bruises the next day if they continued to fight. “Why are you in my room? I thought I told everyone not to bother-“ However Pietro looked up realizing that Thomas had looked similar to his own characteristics such as the hair, the eyes, even the costume were similar colors to his own.
“Heay Uncle Pete. Funny meeting you here.” Thomas said with a bit of a sarcastic tone and chuckled a bit as Pietro rolled his eyes. He hadn’t been applying that much pressure; he could easily have overwhelmed him if he wanted too.
“This is my room why wouldn’t I be here?” Pietro asked as he let go of Thomas rolling his eyes a bit seeing how childish he was acting as he sped over back to his bed to rest on it.
“I came to cheer you up, something tells me that you’ve been upset even before you came to the mansion. How about a race, or even a-"
“The answer is no Speed.” Quicksilver said cutting off his nephew there was almost a hostile tone in his voice as he watched him.
“Geez just cut some slack, uncle; I just was trying to help you.”
“Well you can’t, because no one can fix the problems that I caused. I made many, and I doubt they’ll change any time soon. The members in the X-Men who still hate me are proof of that.” He said as he looked away but realized that Thomas had put a hand on his shoulder.
“I don’t hate you.”
